Chalmers Field, located on the campus of university of dubuque, is home of the ud spartans football as well as track and field teams.
The 4,000 person capacity stadium was completed in 2008 as part of the Chlapaty Recreation and Wellness Center and includes a reconfigured press box; coaches boxes, radio booths; and a University entertainment suite. The Spartans have included live video and replays on video board for fans since since 2010.
In 1942, the field was named in honor of UD's highly successful football coach and respected Dubuque Judge, John G. Chalmers.
The Dubuque Miners are proud to call chalmers field our home. It’s more than just a field, it’s the heart of our game days, where our community comes together, and where our players leave it all on the turf.
We are incredibly honored and deeply grateful for the opportunity to play in such a well-maintained, historic facility. The support and generosity shown by the University of Dubuque have been nothing short of amazing, and this partnership means the world to our organization.
From the entirety of the Dubuque Miners Organization, thank you to the University of Dubuque for welcoming us with open arms and helping us build something special right here in the city we love.
