Building confidence, character, and leadership through mentorship, athletics, and positive role models.
The Dubuque Miners Youth Development & Mentorship Program is a growing initiative focused on supporting youth in the Dubuque and Tri-State community through positive guidance, structured activities, and connection with strong, community-minded role models.
This program is currently in it’s development phase, with planned activities launching in stages throughout the upcoming season(s).

The Youth Development & Mentorship Program is actively expanding and currently in its formative growth phase.
Initial programming will roll out through:
seasonal youth clinics and camps
outreach events
mentorship-based activities
pilot workshop sessions
As partnerships and resources grow, programming will continue to evolve.

The Youth Development Program exists to:
provide positive male/female and team-based role models
promote confidence, discipline, and leadership
encourage healthy lifestyles and physical activity
foster teamwork and accountability
create safe, supportive learning environments
connect youth to community-minded mentors
Our goal is to help young people grow not only as athletes, but as students, leaders, and future contributors to the community.
chalmers bowl - annual youth showcase game
One of the cornerstone youth initiatives supported by the Dubuque Miners Organization is the Chalmers Bowl, an annual youth football showcase hosted at Chalmers Field in partnership with local youth programs and community supporters.
The Chalmers Bowl provides young athletes with the opportunity to:
compete in a memorable, high-energy game environment under the lights
experience a collegiate-style stadium setting
build confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship
connect with Miners players, coaches, and mentors
This event is designed to celebrate youth effort, teamwork, and community pride while creating a positive and encouraging gameday experience for athletes and families.
This annual tradition reflects out commitment to:

providing meaningful opportunities for young players
strengthening connections between youth programs and the broader community
As the Dubuque Miners Youth Development Program continues to grow, the Chalmers Bowl will remain a foundational part of our youth engagement efforts and community partnership initiatives.

YOUTH SKILLS & FUNDAMENTALS CLINICS
Introductory non-contact football and athletic fundamentals including:
movement, coordination, teamwork
beginner skill development
confidence building activities
Open to a wide range of ages and experience levels.
MENTORSHIP & CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
Player and Coach-led conversations around:
leadership
goal setting
discipline and accountability
respect and teamwork
positive life choices
STUDENT SUCCESS & MOTIVATION SUPPORT
Future programming may include
academic encouragement
motivational team talks
youth-centered outreach visits
confidence and belonging initiatives
